Special Programs

Lamb County SSA proudly serves the following school districts: Amherst, Cotton Center, Littlefield, Springlake-Earth, and Sudan. LCSSA works closely with these districts to provide appropriate services to students with disabilities ages 3-21, who meet the criteria adherent to state and federal guidelines. These services include identification of learning disabilities, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, as well as educational services for the hearing impaired and visual orientation and mobility services. 

Special Education instruction and services are provided to students with disabilities who meet the criteria in the following areas of need:

  • Specific Learning Disability, including Dyslexia
  • Speech/Language Impairment
  • Other Health Impairment
  • Autism
  • Emotional Disability
  • Developmental Delay
  • Deaf/Blind
  • Orthopedic Impairment
  • Visual Impairment
  • Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Developmental Delay
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
